Sarina Esmailzadeh was a 16-year-old who was killed during the sweeping protests in response to Mahsa (Jina) Amini's murder. She posted popular vlogs on YouTube which have gone viral on social media networks. She loved listening to music, dancing and talking about her dreams of traveling. In a widely shared video, she is seen singing along to Hozier’s Take Me to Church. Sarina Esmailzadeh was killed by security forces who beat her with batons at a protest in the Alborz province on September 23, 2022.
