1939-1998

Parvaneh Forouhar was a member of the Party of the Iranian Nation while she was a university student. Parvaneh and her husband were advocates for a secular Iran and rejected the theocratic regime. In November 1998, agents of the Islamic Republic entered her home in Tehran and stabbed her 25 times. She died at age 59.
