Taraneh Mousavi was a 28-year-old who was arrested for protesting the 2009 presidential election results. She was reportedly taken into custody in Evin Prison, where she faced violent physical and sexual abuse including rape. She died while in custody, and her burnt corpse was allegedly found near the city of Qazvin.
